Welcome to my new website. As you may know, I used to run DutchSite. Which was a site written in Dutch. Helping new ppl in the game. I hope you guys can give me feedback about the site. Maybe something needs to be changed or give me any suggestions. For now there will be only a few pages with basics. Also it will be a site about me (Don Fortune) and feel free to ask anything.

Also i will try to recover old blog post. So ppl who are interested in old changes will be able to read it,

''I posted Version 2.2s today. Last island visited is now stored in the save game and you will be teleported to that island automatically when you log-in. Also there is now normal healing in the Battle Zone. Because of the lack of healing, the Battle Zone combat was too different from regular PVP combat to represent a fair test of PVP skill. BattleZone games have been extended to 10 minutes to account for the fact that duels there will potentially last longer.

Alpha is coming along as well. Alpha now has support for friends lists and bow 'n arrows. If you remember how long it took to do bows for the Shockwave version, you know this wasn't a small job. Also MOB data is standardized across the server and carried between the Shockwave and Flash versions. So you can team up together on Bane, Agony or other MOBs.''

''I just put up version 2.2r. (second update today) This update switches to a “shard” approach with the servers. The benefit is that it will allow friend messages to pass between Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire Servers. There will also be other benefits down the road, once I’m sure the bugs are clear. There may be some weirdness with the rooms and servers while players switch over. By tomorrow once everyone is running the new version, you should be able to pass friend messages between servers.''

Also the /server command has been deleted and instead this is the new system to switch servers.

Logged on Emerald:
Emerald rooms: 1 - 100
Sapphire rooms: 101 - 200
Ruby rooms: 201 - 300

''I put up a Sherwood Shockwave update that includes a few more pet color choices like a grey lion, blue tinted armor for the warhorse and purple dragon (by request). I was experimenting with these in the Flash alpha, so I decided to put them in the Shockwave version for compatibility. The merger of the Flash and Shockwave Sherwood worlds and data is complete. Anyone logging into the Flash game can now see and interact with Shockwave users on the Emerald server. There’s still some minor items like tree positions but I'll get to these time permitting.''

''Sherwood Alpha .1i is out. This connects to the new Diamond server for avatars and chat. Likely some bugs to work out, but try it out so we can test it under a more serious load.

''For those following the progress of the Sherwood Flash Alpha that is in development, I just put up version.1h. For members accounts, you now have access to your weapons and equipment; both for your character and pets. If you haven't been keeping up, other features that have been added recently include:
  • Combat with monsters
  • Amulet attacks and fire particle effects
  • Pets and Mounts
  • Improved foliage and shadows
We've almost completed all the necessary server changes so that the Flash version of Sherwood can connect. Once this is done, I expect to incrementally add all of the multiplayer and PVP aspects.

As many of you are already aware, the hardware requirements for the flash version of Sherwood are higher than for the Shockwave version. Some of the more advanced graphics features will need a relatively new PC with a dedicated GPU for graphics. So players with older computers will experience a lower frame rate and in some cases be unable to play at all, particularly if your graphics card drivers are more than three years old or if you don't regularly patch your system with the Microsoft OS updates. As this version of the game is still in the middle of development and Adobe is working on updated versions of Flash, this situation will hopefully improve over time.''

Preview of new colors!
Gene Endrody on Facebook:
''I've just launched Sherwood Version 2.2.n. This includes a variety of new pet color options including a black horse, Lycan and Huntress. It also includes two new color choices for the Shadowfey.

Here is a little more background on the new Shadowfey color choices:

The Shadowfey are split into two factions, the Fallen and the True. The "True" Shadowfey are grey skinned with blue armor and, assuming they don't die in combat, through magic have been able to achive eternal life. This came at the cost of having children. Many of the True Shadowfey have became aloof uncaring and cruel. The "Fallen" with red armor and normal skin tone abandoned their power and returned the normal cycle of birth and death. The Fallen tend to be more friendly with the Kingdom of Man, who they refer to as "Brightlanders". The two Shadowfey factions are mortal enemies.

I'll be exploring this conflict in the game in much greater detail in the future, time permitting, but I wanted to get the new color options out to you earlier. I hope you like the update.''
